The Seattle International Motorcycle Show was a big yawn this year. It’s like the organizers held a show and forgot to invite the exhibitors! At least Ducati made a big splash. It was nice to see BMW back for the first time in years too. The highlight of the show, though, was most definitely the newest rider in the family. As M discovered, it’s easier to reach the handlebars on a Can-Am than a Diavel.
Yesterday afternoon, Nick’s brother and family came over to our house for some gingerbread decorating fun. I was truly amazed by everyone’s creativity and decorating style.
A few random shots at Seattle’s Figgy Pudding Caroling Contest in downtown Seattle last night. The new camera is fast – blazing fast. I love the silent shooting mode. Noise at ISO 12600 (yes, that’s the correct number of zeros), is pretty darn amazing. Not super happy with the auto white balance, so I’ll have to experiment with that a bit. More to follow when I’ve had more than 45 minutes to play with the camera!
Nick and I attended part one of a photography class this morning to learn something about shooting in black and white. We shot in color with the idea that we’d convert the color images to black and white in post-processing. Here are some of the interesting shots I’m looking forward to monkeying around with.
