Color study

Keeping lines in mind, I’m focusing on color this week. After two days, I can definitively say this task is nearly impossible. Have you looked around you lately and realized just how neutral our winter world is?! Even at Christmas! I’m on the hunt, though. Stay tuned.

Christmas 2012

Nick and I hope your Christmas was filled with as much family and love this year as ours was. We wish you all the best as you say farewell to 2012 and welcome to the new year.

Welcoming back the light

The shortest day of the year was a great excuse to gather, sing, dance, and celebrate the return of light. We made the most of the brief respite from the rain to gather around the fire. Nick played the guitar and everyone else joined in with their¬†percussion¬†instrument of choice. Can you feel the light? It’s coming.

Line Study

I’ve been paying closer attention to lines lately – horizontal, vertical, diagonal, curvy, etc. Here’s a small collection of photos from my study. Check back to see additions as the week progresses.

Seattle Children’s Museum with R&R

One house is not big enough to contain the energy of two small children on a rainy day. So when Anne asked us to babysit Roan and Reece this afternoon, Nick and I knew a trip to the Seattle Children’s Museum would be in order.
