Nick and I took a quick trip up to Camp Muir today. And when I say quick, I mean quick. We set a new PR: 3 hours and 14 minutes from car to Camp. The conditions for glissading on the descent were suspect, but we sure gave it our best try.
The highlight of the trip was running into Rodger Taylor and the rest of the Climb for Clean Air climbers on a training trip. It never ceases to amaze me what a fabulous community of people and life-long that event created for me eleven years ago.
We also saw the remnants of an enormous rock fall that took place the day before. If you look closely at the picture you can see the brown patch on the snow in the middle. Here’s a video of the devestation:
