The first time I saw this book in the store, I knew I had to have it. (Three other cookbooks by her, Vegan on the Cheap, Carb Conscious Vegetarian, and Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker, are regular, go-to cookbooks in our family.) Party Vegan has 24 themed menus ranging from a child’s birthday party to tapas to the Superbowl to Halloween. Each party menu has a mix of do-ahead and day-of recipes. Some menus are suitable for a sit-down affair, while others are more appropriate for buffets or grazing parties. She also includes suggested recipe swaps and other tips. What’s not to love?!
I especially like that she mentioned which recipes freeze well. Next time I stock the freezer for a friend who is expecting a new baby or is having a tough time, these recipes will be a nice change from the standard casserole that people usually bring.
As soon as Amazon.com sends me my associate check, I’ll be ordering a copy. That is…if I don’t win a copy first! If you’d like to enter to win your own copy, visit Robin’s website and leave a comment on this post.
